Sony awarded two patents for the "real" Matrix.

Sony has been granted 2 patents describing 'Method and system for generating sensory data onto the human neural cortex'. The patents 'describe a technique for aiming ultrasonic pulses at specific areas of the brain to induce sensory experiences such as smells, sounds and images'

The expansion pack for Half-Life 2 is already in the works. The expansion will be entitled 'Aftermath' and is currently slated for a summer release. Aftermath will deal with the fallout from the events at the close of the PC title as the residents of City 17 make for the hills in an attempt to get to safety.

A new sub-$600 gaming PC by Gateway/eMachines

Gateway on Monday unveiled a range of low-price gaming PCs in its bid to grab a piece of the ever-expanding gaming market.

The desktop PCs, belonging to the eMachines brand, will be available for prices ranging from $370 to $580 after a $50 mail-in rebate. The company expects the prices to be attractive to consumers who find that the costs of digital entertainment-enabled PCs are generally steep.
